Storing electricals in the loft 👇

⚠️ Avoid storing anything with lithium-ion batteries in the attic. Extreme temperatures could cause them to catch fire.

❌ For batteries other than lithium-ion, the risk of fire is quite low, but they can degrade due to wide temperature fluctuations and humidity. Batteries, and all electronics for that matter, prefer a cool, dry environment, which you typically don’t get in most lofts.

🔌 Extension cords, spare cables, and light fixtures can be stored in the attic, but inspect cables for damage before use.

💡Before using any stored electrical product again, check for:

🚩Cracked insulation or frayed cables
🚩Corrosion on plugs/connectors
🚩Signs of rodent damage
