📢 The government has proposed a substantial increase in the Immigration Health Surcharge, aiming to raise the annual fee from £624 to £1035 for the Main Rate and upto £776 for the Discounted Rate (Students/Children). Please note that the precise date for this increase is yet to be confirmed. Additionally, the government has announced a general fee hike across various immigration and nationality routes. The Immigration Health Surcharge will increase from £400 a year to £624 a year on 27 October 2020. A reduced rate of £470 will apply to students, dependants of students, Youth Mobility visa holders and anyone under 18.

COVID-19 UPDATE

In line with the government's guidelines, SMK Solicitors will not be offering any face-to-face appointments to clients for the foreseeable future. The health and safety of our colleagues, clients and affiliates is of paramount importance to us.

UPDATE: Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2018 comes into force 21 days after being approved by Parliament on 18 December 2018. In respect of entry clearance or leave to remain applications, the annual amount is increased from £200 to £400.
