We are pleased to welcome Victoria Obuogu Phillip to Civitas Legal as one of our new volunteers.
Victoria recently completed her LLB in Law at LSBU: London South Bank University, achieving a First Class result. Throughout her degree, she actively sought opportunities to gain practical legal experience, including through mini-pupillages, legal internships and volunteering. These experiences have developed her interest in advocacy, legal research and, importantly, access to justice.
Victoria’s long-term goal is to become a barrister, and she is particularly interested in developing the practical skills that come with working directly with people and understanding how legal issues affect them in real life. This is one of the things that attracted her to Civitas Legal and its work.
Through her volunteering with Civitas Legal, Victoria hopes to contribute to our work while continuing to learn, build her confidence, and deepen her understanding of legal practice. She looks forward to meeting the team, getting involved, and making the most of the experience.
We are delighted to have Victoria join us and look forward to supporting her professional development.
