It was great to meet students across multiple year groups, chat all things law and give them an insight into the legal profession and the different career paths available within it.

Barnsley Hospice’s ‘Make a Will Month’ gives you the opportunity to make or update your Will while also helping to support the vital care Barnsley Hospice provides to patients and families across the local community.

We will be wavering our Will writing fee’s, in exchange for a donation to Barnsley Hospice, helping support the palliative and end of life care they provide.

Minimum Suggested Donation:
👉🏻 £120 for a Simple Will*
👉🏻 £200 for a Pair of Mirror Wills*

If your Will is deemed more complex, additional fees may apply. Our team will explain any extra costs during your initial appointment.

Emma Burton from our Care Department recently had the opportunity to visit Mercia School alongside HHJ Afzal CBE, Designated Family Judge of South Yorkshire, as well as a number of great solicitors and barristers from across the legal profession.

The session gave students an insight into what a career in law is really like, exploring the different roles within the profession, the pathways into law and the experiences that come with working in the sector.

Most importantly, it was an opportunity to inspire the next generation and show students the opportunities available to them within the legal profession.

We’re proud to support initiatives that give young people the chance to meet those working in law, ask questions and gain a genuine insight into the profession.

A big thank you to Mercia School for welcoming us, and to everyone who took the time to share their knowledge and experiences with the students.

Last week, our Wills & Probate team attended the Blythe House Hospice morning networking event, where we got to catch up with lots of familiar faces and discuss this month’s Free Wills Month with them!

You can have your Will professionally drafted with the help of our Wills & Probate team, in exchange for a voluntary donation to the charity, with suggested donations of just £75 for a simple single Will and £150 for mirror Wills.

Your generous donation will help ensure Blythe House Hospice can continue providing free care and support to people affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in the High Peak and surrounding areas.

A lovely visit from Weston Park Cancer Charity ! 💜

We were delighted to welcome Hayley from Weston Park Cancer Charity, who popped in to see us and deliver Donna, our CEO, her raffle prize!

It was also a great opportunity to catch up and chat about some plans for the new year, including how we can continue to support Weston Park and the fantastic work they do for people affected by cancer across our region.

We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship and exploring more ways we can work together in the year ahead.
