Genette Gale and Matthew Billingsley helped with Shaftesbury Rotary's Youth Speaks Competition last night. Students from local schools had the daunting task of debating in front of an audience, while being judged and then had to field questions. They did a fantastic job. Well done to all the students who participated from Shaftesbury School, The Blandford School and Sturminster Newton School. Photo of the judges. We all enjoyed our Christmas get together at the Walnut Tree in Mere. It was lovely to catch up before the Christmas break. After the meal, we enjoyed Secret Santa and a spot of bingo.

To unwind after a busy week, Duncan, Cath and Steph went to watch England v South Africa. Despite England losing the game, it was a great day out.

Recently, Imogen Morrison, daughter of Partner Catharine Morrison, played a rugby fixture for Trowbridge RFC Girls against Dorset Ravens at North Dorset RFC and took the opportunity to have a picture in front of the Rutters board that we have at the ground!

A narrow win capped of a great rugby month for Imogen who has been selected in the Dorset and Wiltshire Girls U16s Player Development Group.
