We are delighted that both Listed Building and Planning Approval have been granted at Planning Committee for an extension to the rear of this Grade ii Listed Building together with the conversion of the first and second floors to create four flats. The ground floor and part of the first floor will be used as a dental surgery.
Historic painted panels will be on permanent display in a specially built room and available to be viewed by the public by arrangement.
Members of the Planning Committee were full of praise for this application. Councillor Hamandishe said “This is one of the most creative submissions I’ve seen”
Councillor Hamilton said “ I really like this application, it’s a sensitive development, fitting with historic asset, and it will enhance footfall on our high street with is great for economic regeneration”

We are pleased to have gained planning approval for our client for some alterations to the proposed cladding and roof pitch for the new barn to be erected as a replacement for one of the existing barns at Cheneys Farm, Thong.

This listed disused building known as the Crown and Thistle pub, once a thriving business which had fallen into disrepair when the pub closed in 2018. The building needed a new lease of life and planning was applied for and granted for a 5 bedroom HMO. The proposal was to keep as much of the historic pub frontage as possible, whilst giving a light and open living area plus 5 bedrooms.

The client came to us with a request to see if we could make use of the rear unused and scruffy parking area to the rear of his shops off the High Street in Otford. Our proposal was 4 self-contained 1 bed flats over 2 floors, whilst still maintaining some staff parking for the shop. This site was particularly difficult as a number of the High Street shop are listed buildings within a conservation area, with the rear of the car park was open countryside. Planning was approved earlier this month.

Normally this type of rear extension would be permitted development but due to a previous 2 storey side extension planning was a requirement.
