Today marks one year since Bassets Solicitors became a Limited Liability Partnership, but while the LLP may be new, our story is anything but.

Since 1854, Bassets Solicitors has been helping with property purchases, planning futures and navigating some of life's most important moments.

Becoming an LLP has been the next step in the story. It reflects where we are today, a modern forward thinking firm with the same values, commitment to our clients that have defined us over 170 years.

Navigating separation when children are involved presents many important considerations for parents. One common misconception concerning child arrangements following separation is that it always needs to go to Court.

In reality, many families successfully establish agreements independently, through mediation, or with the assistance of a solicitor (and document these arrangements in a Parenting Plan, also known as Our Child’s Plan). If parents cannot reach agreement, a Childcare Arrangement Order can be sought from a Court.
