They made it to Everest Base Camp! 🏔️💙

An incredible achievement for BTMK's Matt and his friend Kev, who have successfully completed their trek to Everest Base Camp in support of Havens Hospices.

And what a journey it's been.

Taking on the physical and mental demands of the trek is an enormous achievement in itself, but for Matt and Kev, reaching Base Camp carries an even deeper meaning.

Both have experienced the care Havens Hospices provides first-hand, with the charity having supported their parents during some of the most difficult moments in their lives.

Now, they've taken on one of the biggest challenges of their own to help ensure that care continues to be available to others.

From everyone at BTMK, a huge congratulations to Matt and Kev. What an extraordinary achievement, and what a wonderful cause to do it for.

Thanks for the music, Southend. 🎶💙

After a summer of live music at Priory Park, another season of Music in the Park has come to an end.

BTMK Solicitors has been proud to support this much-loved Southend tradition throughout 2026, helping to bring live performances to the Bandstand for the local community to enjoy across the summer months.

Right now, BTMK Solicitors’ Director, Matthew Clark, and his friend Kevin are taking on one of their biggest challenges yet, trekking to Everest Base Camp in support of Havens Hospices.

And for both of them, this one is deeply personal.

Havens cared for Matt’s dad more than a decade ago and, more recently, supported his mum with compassion, dignity and kindness. Kev and his family also experienced that care first-hand when Havens looked after his mum during her final days, keeping her comfortable and providing support when it mattered most.

So when Matt and Kev decided to take on the journey to Everest Base Camp, they knew exactly who they wanted to do it for.

The trek will push them physically and mentally, but every step is helping to raise vital funds for Havens Hospices, so they can continue to be there for other local people and their loved ones when they need them.

We’ll be following Matt and Kev’s progress as they make their way towards Base Camp, and sharing some updates from their journey along the way.

For now, from everyone at BTMK, good luck, Matt and Kev. What an incredible thing to do. 💙🏔️
