We regret to advise that the Partners of Rudds reluctantly took the decision to close the practice on 31 October 2022. Bob Adams has joined Jefferies Essex LLP, Solicitors in Southend on Sea.

We tried to advise as many clients as possible of our closure, so that arrangements could be made for other Solicitors to be instructed. Rudds has not been taken over by another firm and, although Bob Adams has joined Jefferies, they are not a successor practice to Rudds and there is no agreement between Rudds and Jefferies for the transfer of the business of Rudds.

Bob Adams is acting for those clients who have given consent for Jefferies to act in place of Rudds and Bob will also be happy to act for clients of Rudds in relation to conveyancing transactions, in his role as a Licensed Conveyancer with Jefferies. In order to ensure they continue to be stored safely, Wills and Deeds held by Rudds have been transferred to Wenborne, Weller & Spooner Ltd, 84 Broadway, Leigh on Sea, Essex, SS9 1AE, Tel: 01702 680 880, www.wenbornewellerspooner.com. Email: [email protected]. Charlotte Spooner at Wenborne, Weller & Spooner will be happy to assist and advise in relation to Wills previously held by Rudds.

We regret to advise that the Partners of Rudds have taken the difficult decision to close the practice on 31st October 2022. John Philpott will be retiring and Bob Adams is joining Jefferies Essex LLP Solicitors in Southend on Sea.

We have tried to advise as many clients as possible of our decision, so that arrangements can be made for other Solicitors to be instructed. Rudds is not being taken over by another firm and although Bob Adams will be joining Jefferies, they will not be a successor practice to Rudds and there is no agreement between Rudds and Jefferies for the transfer of the business of Rudds.

Apologies if anyone was trying to get through to us today….some of the stores in Rayleigh high street, including us, were hit with a power cut which lasted all day and took out our phone system. I believe there are ongoing works tonight to try to fix the problem, so hopefully we will be up and running again tomorrow!

CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS: Rudds Solicitors are taking a well-earned Christmas break! We will be closed from 12.30 pm on Thursday the 23rd of December and will re-open at 9 am, on Tuesday the 4th of January 2022.
