Race Report Thruxton Race Circuit - R&G Moto4 British Cup

Improved every session, Race 2 was fantastic starting from P16 & getting up to P7 at one point in a 9 Rider battle for position.

🏁 THRUXTON RACE REPORT 🏁

A challenging weekend at Thruxton for the latest round of the R&G Moto4 British Cup.

It was my first time racing at Thruxton, and I struggled to get to grips with the extremely fast circuit during the opening sessions. I was also carrying a slight knock from the previous round at Silverstone, which made the weekend a little more demanding.

⏱️ FP1: P17
⏱️ FP2: P18
⏱️ Qualifying: P16

🏁 Race 1
Managed to make progress lap time wise and enjoyed a great battle with Finley Polhill throughout the race. We were fighting closely for position, and I crossed the line in P15.

🏁 Race 2
What a incredible race to be part of. I was involved in a nine-rider battle for P7, with positions changing throughout the entire race. It was close, competitive racing from start to finish, and I eventually came home in P12.

I also set a new personal best lap of 1:21.94, showing the progress we made as I became more comfortable with the circuit.

The final results were not quite what we wanted, but there are plenty of positives to take from another new track.

Positives to take away from what was a challenging new track this weekend for Hudson Kai Cooper.

Incredible grit from P16 up to P7 in race 2 & a fantastic race he really enjoyed.

Logging his PB Lap of the weekend getting into the 1m21s which is a really positive.

After a few days off we are now at Thruxton ready for the R&G Moto4 British Cup.

Genuinely supporting young riders is something Powertech UK take tremendous pride in. Seeing two of our Powertech Endurance riders making it to National level fills us with pride having worked with these them over the years.

This weekend we are here with official support with Hudson Kai Cooper & it’s also fantastic to see another rider we have supported from our endurance days FP Racing #199 making his debut with Wilson Racing.

This weekend we are back with the British Superbike Championship in the R&G Moto4 British Cup at Thruxton.

Another new track this weekend, halfway through a triple header of new circuits for me.
