Think it's not really a problem to lose a legal document and you can simply replace?
well, sadly that it not the case............if you are still alive you can of course write a new Will but if you die and your family cannot find your Will then this will cause huge problems & potentially huge expense.
if you lose your Lasting Power of Attorney registered document then you can pay £35 to request an official office copy.
now this is where things getting very complex and expensive...........if you lose a Trust deed you can't just buy another copy ..........the only solution is to 'reconstitute' the original deed and typical fees charged by a solicitor range from £2,000 upwards !
you must store your legal documents somewhere safe when the day comes and your family have to find them.
