Following our recent post celebrating this year’s Paisley Legal Walk, we wanted to share some kind words from Sheriff Brian Mohan. Such thoughtful recognition means a great deal, particularly from someone who supported our inaugural walk last year and joined us again this year.
Sheriff Mohan kindly shared his reflections on the evening:
“I was delighted to support the Paisley Legal Walk this year. Legal walks have been organised in many large cities throughout the UK over the last 10 years to celebrate and inform the public about significant legal landmarks in their locality, and to raise money for charity.
It is fantastic that the second Paisley Legal Walk, which took place on an evening in late September, has joined that company. The event was well organised and attracted a healthy number of participants (as well as some dogs).
A professional tour guide took us on a route around the town centre and concentrated on some of its many listed buildings to illustrate Paisley’s rich industrial and legal heritage.
The whole event was a great success. It was a very enjoyable evening which highlighted Paisley’s history and raised funds for, and awareness of, the Access to Justice Foundation. My congratulations to the organisers, MJC LAW.”
