💧How is my business affected by a Hosepipe Ban? 💧

A Hosepipe Ban or Temporary Use Ban (TUB) is the most common restriction a water company will enforce, to target domestic water usage. Businesses are exempt so long as water is being used for commercial purposes only. 🏠

A Non-Essential Use Ban (NEUB) is a more restrictive ban that specifically impacts businesses as well as domestic water usage. 🏢

Under a NEUB businesses cannot:
• Fill or maintain ponds & non-domestic swimming/paddling pools
• Suppress dust or run cisterns in unoccupied buildings
• Clean non-domestic properties, including windows
• Operate mechanical/automated vehicle cleaners
• Water outdoor plants & commercial gardens
• Clean vehicles, boats or aircraft

Check with your water provider to see if your home or business is impacted by any restrictions.
