This brickwork was stained, patchy and standing out for all the wrong reasons.

A wash down sorted the dirt.
A bit of tinting sorted the colour.

Now it looks like it was always meant to be there.

We have a strict no moaners rule at Brick Makeover.

Most jobs need more than one pair of hands. We work all over the country, long days away from home, sometimes weeks at a time.

If the lad in the van with you is a moaner, that drive home is a long one.

So I hire on personality first.

I can teach someone to clean a wall. I can’t teach them to be good company at 6am on a wet Tuesday in Cumbria.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m easy to get on with and full of energy. That’s the energy I want around me.

We’re growing. Taking on more clients, more sites, more weeks on the road. So if you’re a grafter, you’re easy company, and you fancy a job that’s never the same site twice, drop me a message.

Sir David Attenborough turned 100 yesterday.

Not all paint is created equal.

This one was painted years ago with the wrong stuff. Looked alright for a bit. Then it started peeling, flaking and lifting.

Here’s the thing most people miss…
Brick needs to breathe.

Standard masonry paint traps the moisture, the moisture pushes the paint back off, and the whole front ends up looking worse than before.
So we stripped the lot.

Now it’s breathing for a few weeks before getting repainted properly with mineral paint.
