We had the pleasure of exhibiting at the annual APIL Clinical Negligence conference. It was great to learn, develop and mix amongst the UK’s leading clinical negligence community. Improving practice and ensuring standards are met in healthcare. Thank you for another successful conference. We look forward to seeing you all at the next conference.

Last week two of our care experts had the pleasure of completing the first specialised University of Strathclyde Inspire Medilaw Expert Witness Certificate for Allied Health Care Professionals (AHCPs) and those interested in personal injury cases. Inspire MediLaw proudly hosted expert witness training course in Oxford, designed specifically for healthcare professionals.

The training started off by exploring the motivations behind becoming an expert witness. What stood out was the strong emphasis on patient safety. Many participants cited the desire to make a positive impact on healthcare practices, reduce risks, and ultimately improve outcomes for patients and their families. Our Clinical Director Norma Findlay led the AHP session.

The two days cumulated in a mock cross-examination, which vividly demonstrated the critical importance of a well-prepared expert report.

For healthcare professionals looking to expand their horizons and make a meaningful difference in patient safety, becoming an expert witness offers a unique and rewarding path.
