We are seeking a Legal Assistant to assist two fee earners in our Conveyancing department.

Duties will include:

- Drafting correspondence and legal documents.
- Researching regulations, laws and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports.
- Manage client billing by preparing and sending out bills.
- Communicating with clients to schedule meetings.
- Managing, organising and maintaining documents in paper and electronic filing systems.
- Providing general administrative assistance, including covering reception when necessary.

The successful candidate will have excellent numeracy, IT, administration and organisational skills, together with a keen eye for detail.

A professional and confident manner, strong client care and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels are essential.

Requiring a flexible working approach, an ability to prioritise against tight deadlines and work well under pressure, the right candidate will possess a willingness and the capability to work as part of the wider team.

Previous legal experience or a legal education are required.

You will need a friendly, approachable manner with a genuine 'can do' attitude, you will quickly become an integral part of the team so if you think that you can fulfil the criteria of this fabulous role then we would love to hear from you.

During the month of September, our staff here at Ralph & Co Solicitors LLP have been hard at work raising money for Cancer Research UK via the Cycle 300 programme. This project was very personal to many of our staff here and we appreciate all their hard work and dedication to raise as much money as they could.

We have raised a total of £295.00 throughout the month and we thank everybody who donated to such a vital cause.

As a Firm we are devoted to helping support charities, both local and nationwide.

Legal Receptionist – Ralph & Co Newquay TR7 1SG – Full-time, Permanent

Ralph & Co are currently looking for a full-time legal receptionist to start in September based at our Newquay Office.

Requirements:
• Experience in customer service – not necessary for this to have been in a legal environment as full training will be provided!
• Friendly and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
• Organisation skills and able to use own initiative.
• Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Your responsibilities:
• Call handling – diverting calls to the relevant fee earner and taking messages.
• Greeting clients – verifying ID documents for new clients and taking card payments.
• Checking and distributing incoming post
• Stock check and ordering office supplies
• Picking up dictation including attendance notes, letters and bills.
• Other responsibilities will include file opening and sending out client care packs.
