Our Space - Staffs Ltd based in Newcastle-under-Lyme provides a safe space and play area for children and young people who's differences make it difficult for them to use more conventional spaces. 7 of our team are joining the Our Space - Staffs Ltd abseiling team on 6th September. There's still time for you to join the team too.

We now have a fantastic team of 33 people who are kindly taking part in our Charity Abseil from Millers Dale Bridge to raise funds for Our Space and we couldn’t be more grateful to them for their support. We have a real mix of people taking part – Our Space club members, parents, staff, Trustees, business supporters and other friends of our charity.

For anyone who may still like to take part in this event, we do have a limited number of places available, but we will be looking to finalise numbers in the next week now. You can get in touch via [email protected] to get more information and a registration form.

This abseil is part of our 10th Anniversary celebrations and we are hoping that it will be our most successful sponsored event to date!

An event today in the Guildhall about staying safe in Newcastle-under-Lyme

👀 Something new is coming to Newcastle-under-Lyme…

We’re launching Safer Newcastle – a campaign shining a light on the work happening every day to keep our borough safe, welcoming and thriving 💚

From tackling anti-social behaviour to supporting local businesses and helping people feel more confident on a night out, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes – with partners across the borough working together.

📱 As part of the campaign, we’re bringing the WalkSafe app to Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The app is free and designed to help you feel safer when you’re out and about. You can:
✅ Share your live journey with trusted contacts
✅ Use simple safety features
✅ Find 20 new designated nearby safe spaces if you need support

The app is being rolled out with support from the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Violence Reduction Alliance (VRA), helping bring extra reassurance to people across the borough.
