The Devil is in the detail, Social care costs capped at £86,000 for your lifetime Yes but No, the £86k cap is for your "personal care" while you're at home, if your health gets to the point you require full time residential care termed as "Hotel Costs" this is for food, accommodation, cleaning in a care home, average cost £1000+ aweek. If you have assets greater then £20k then you will be funding this yourself ie selling your home, so how is new system fairer to my Mum & millions of other loving parents whom have paid their taxes, contributed to society but will be disregared when most needed, beware of what's said but actually meant, sobering & basically cruel.
