NEW PARTNER

We are delighted to announce that Cally Griffiths is now a partner at BBNM Law.

Cally joined us in 2017 following a short break to raise a family. Cally qualified in 2004 after obtaining an LLB in law at Sheffield Hallam University and went on to complete a training contact at Wilson & Bird Solicitors. She then went on to join Russell Jones & Walker (later acquired by global firm, Slater & Gordon) where Cally gained extensive experience in all private law family matters from her base in London.

Cally offers legal advice in all areas of family law including divorce & separation, civil partnerships, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation and matters relating to children. Cally always works with her client’s best interests in mind which means that if court proceedings can be avoided, thereby saving costs, they will be.

However, when proceedings are unavoidable you will find her to be a gifted advocate and has a positive track record for resolving problems and proposing solutions such that all parties walk away happy.

Cally is a member of both Resolution and the Law Society Children Panel. This allows her to represent not only parents but also children in difficult, and often complex, care cases. Since joining BBNM Law Cally has grown and developed a large case load of care matters, representing a range of clients in very different situations and circumstances.

Upon announcing her partnership Cally has stated “I am delighted to be a part of the future success and growth of BBNM Law. It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of such a long established firm which has served this community so well for many years.”

ANN LI RETIRES!

After nearly 30 years Ann has decided to hang up her law books. She joined Graham Brown and Craig Beer in 1991, shortly after Karen Petch joined the practice. Initially it was to man the phones for a few weeks, but she never left. Ann went on the qualify as a solicitor in 1994. Ann and Karen formed the family department which went on from strength to strength.

She will be missed!

The systems are adapting and changing to a new way of working but progress is being made and the courts are still functioning.

In response to the increasing concerns surrounding the Corona virus outbreak, we will no longer be offering face to face appointments at either of our offices. This decision has been taken to protect our members of staff and limit any possible transmission of the infection.

We will continue to offer telephone appointments and advice by email where possible.

We will continue to review matters as the situation evolves over coming weeks.
