Business owners put so much energy into looking after everyone else; clients, teams, families, communities. But very few stop to think about one important question:

What happens to your business if something unexpected happens to you?

That’s where succession planning comes in.
Not scary. Not complicated. Not full of jargon.
Just practical clarity about how to protect what you’ve built.

I’m offering free succession planning sessions for business owners across Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire and I want to be clear:

It’s free, but it’s not cheap.
I offer it at no cost because this conversation is too important for business owners to avoid due to price.

Every business deserves the basics that keep their future secure.

If you run a business in any sector and want a supportive, no‑judgement session for your team, group or network, drop me a message.

I would happy to bring this to you.

Let’s make your future feel protected, not pressured.

Succession is one of the most important and most complex conversations facing the funeral profession.

At NFE 2026, we will be spending time talking with funeral professionals about succession planning in all its forms: planning for the future of a business, protecting family interests, supporting the next generation, and ensuring that values, responsibilities, and legacy are carried forward with care.

At W&P Legal, we lead the market by approaching succession as more than a transaction. It’s about people, continuity, and making sure plans work not only legally, but practically, for families, businesses, and those who step into responsibility next.

If succession is on your mind, whether imminent or longer‑term, we welcome thoughtful, open conversation.

After presenting at the Funeral Suppliers Association, the stress‑test results revealed something important:

Not one business had a perfect succession plan.
But every business had the potential to strengthen it.

And that’s the part that stayed with me.

Because succession planning isn’t about catching people out. It’s about holding up a mirror, gently and asking the question most leaders rarely pause long enough to consider:

“If something changed tomorrow, would the business be ready?”

For many, the answer was “partly”.
And “partly” is a powerful place to start.

That’s why I’m taking my Succession Planning Presentation on the road.

Not to criticise.
Not to create fear.
But to give business owners the space, clarity, and confidence to turn “we’ve made a start” into something stronger, steadier, and genuinely future‑ready.

If your network group values honest conversations, practical insight, and the kind of session that quietly shifts perspective, I’d love to bring this to your members.

If you want to understand where your own plan sits…

Every now and then I stop mid morning and think "I actually love this job". Not because it's easy (it isn't) but because it's meaningful, interesting and full of those moments where you can see the impact you've had on someone's life.

I don't work in a world of public reviews or applause. Most of what I do happens quietly (sometimes), behind the scenes, in situations people don't usually talk about online. But that doesn't make it any less important.

The real reward is knowing that the work matters, that someone's stress is lighter, their future is clearer or their family is better protected because I showed up and did my job well.

It's a privilege to do work that feels worthwhile, even on the chaotic days.

So… I’ve gone and made a WhatsApp Channel for Estate Planners (never thought I would get techy but here I am smashing it 😀 )

Hear me out ... Over the last few months I have had so many conversations with estate planners who ask the same thing:

“can you just tell me the important stuff… without the 42-page guidance notes?” And since I’m usually answering messages while juggling work, dogs with ‘ADHD energy’, and life in general… WhatsApp felt like the obvious home for this chaos.

So yes. I’ve created a channel.

The W&P Legal Estate Planner Partnership Hub, consisting of;

*Bite‑sized updates you can read in the lift

*Polls about things we all pretend we understand (SWW locum project, anyone? 👀)

*Client-friendly explainers you can copy in 0.3 seconds

*Tools that make you look VERY put-together

*Occasional estate planning humour… because we all need it

And the best part?

No endless PDFs, no spam, no nonsense.

Just useful stuff — straight to your phone.

If you’re an estate planner and fancy joining the chaos:

Feel free to share it with colleagues, associates, or anyone who could use a little clarity (or entertainment) in their day.

Let’s make estate planning… dare I say it… fun?

Across the UK, too many families caring for disabled, vulnerable, or complex‑needs dependents, struggle to access the specialist private client legal services that should protect their futures; Wills, trusts, LPAs, Court of Protection work, care‑funding guidance. These essentials are often out of reach for those who need them most.
Legal Aid doesn’t cover this work.

Most charities aren’t structured to commission it.
Families are left to navigate complex, high‑stakes decisions alone.
That’s why The Loving Legacies Foundation CIC exists.

As a Community Interest Company, The Loving Legacies Foundation provides funded access to regulated partner firms who can deliver the specialist legal services families require, while ensuring every penny is used for community benefit.

It is a social enterprise model that blends professional standards with purpose-driven impact.

The Loving Legacies Foundation is here to make sure vulnerable people and their families aren’t left behind. And this is only the beginning.

If you are a Professional within the Legal Sector and would like to see how you can get involved, please drop me a message.

I will contact all social groups when applications are open.
