If you’ve ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes of a private equity deal, this is one not to miss.

Latham & Watkins is teaming up with Advent to host an exclusive student event on Thursday 5 November at Latham’s London office. Having taken part in a Latham programme myself, I know how much you can learn when you see a deal from both the lawyer’s and the client’s side, and this event is a rare chance to get both perspectives in one room.

The session will walk through a hypothetical Advent acquisition, show what junior lawyers actually do on a deal, and look at careers in-house and in private practice, before wrapping up with a panel Q&A and networking.

If you’re interested in a career in law, I’d really encourage you to apply. Places are limited.

Interested in learning more about a career at Latham & Watkins? The team will be at Manchester Law Fair on the 19th of November, where you can meet people from the firm, ask questions, and get a better sense of life at Latham.

Additionally, Latham’s 2026 London Open Days are a great opportunity to get to know the firm before deciding what comes next. You’ll hear from Latham lawyers, take part in panels and case studies, and get a firsthand feel for the people and culture.

Applications are now open. Links for both are in our bio!
