For International Day of Charity, our Managing Director Daniel W**d was proud to take part in the latest edition of Manchester Law Society's Messenger magazine, sharing more about a charity close to his heart.

Daniel is a Trustee of Partners in Education Swaziland (PIES), a charity dedicated to improving the lives and opportunities of vulnerable children and young people in Eswatini through education, support and sustainable community projects.

Having had the privilege of visiting both educational centres himself, Daniel has seen first-hand the difference the charity makes. From providing meals and education to supporting sustainable initiatives such as beekeeping and honey-making, PIES is helping to create opportunities for local communities and a brighter future for the children it supports.

As Daniel says, education remains at the heart of everything PIES does.

We are proud to see Daniel and the incredible work of Partners in Educations Swaziland (PIES) featured in Manchester Law Society's Talking Heads section.

🌏 Jack’s Race Across the World - Part 3

Jack Ashworth’s adventure continues, and this time his travels have taken him from South Korea into China, with plenty of surprises along the way.

After arriving in Busan and travelling on to Seoul, Jack headed to Shanghai before continuing through Hangzhou, Xiamen, Hong Kong and the spectacular Avatar Mountains of Zhangjiajie, followed by Chongqing and Chengdu.

From adapting to a completely different digital world in China to getting his head around 4-7 hour journeys on high-speed trains, this leg of the trip has challenged a few preconceptions.

But perhaps one of Jack’s biggest takeaways so far has been a new appreciation for home - and, dare we say it, his job and teammates at Burton Copeland!
