This memory from 2019 brings back a great sense of pride.

The restoration of the historic Station Master’s House in Maghera transformed a much-loved landmark into the beautiful offices we are privileged to work in today. This unique project carefully preserved the building’s rich heritage while creating a functional modern workspace for the future.

A huge credit goes to P&K McKaigue Ltdfor their exceptional craftsmanship, dedication and attention to detail throughout the restoration. We also fondly remember the late Colm McGurk, McGurk Architects whose vision and architectural expertise helped bring this remarkable project to life.

We are incredibly fortunate to call this award-winning building our workplace and to be custodians of such an important piece of local history. ❤️

Stuart Monteith has written a wonderful account of his 1950s childhood living at the Station House. The bread men, the livestock wagons and the final whistle on 1st October 1959 when the Derry Central Railway closed for good.
