Do I need a Lasting Power of Attorney if I already have a Will? 🤔

This is something we’re asked quite often.

A Will deals with what happens after you pass away.

A Lasting Power of Attorney allows someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf during your lifetime if you become unable to manage things yourself.

They do very different jobs — and having both in place helps ensure you’re protected in the future.

What’s the difference between an Executor and an Attorney? 👩‍💼📃📝

It’s a question we’re often asked — and it’s easy to see why they can be confused.

An Attorney is someone you choose to make decisions on your behalf during your lifetime under a Lasting Power of Attorney.

An Executor is someone who carries out the instructions in your Will and manages your estate after you pass away.

The same person can act in both roles — but they do very different things at different times and they are two types of documents, not one!
