Why You Should Never Use ChatGPT for Your UK Visa Application
If you are preparing a UK visa application, visa extension, ILR application, or naturalisation application, do not use ChatGPT or AI tools to draft your supporting documents.
Here’s why:
Home Office caseworkers can tell when AI has been used. The language is generic, formulaic, and lacks the personal detail and authenticity they’re looking for.
Your application needs to reflect your genuine circumstances, your voice, and your specific situation. AI-generated content cannot do that.
Worse, using AI can harm your application. If a caseworker suspects your documents aren’t genuine or have been templated, it raises red flags about credibility.
If you are applying for a Skilled Worker visa, Family visa, ILR, British citizenship, or any other UK immigration route, your documents must be authentic, detailed, and tailored to your case.
ChatGPT doesn’t know your circumstances. It doesn’t know Immigration Rules. It doesn’t understand what caseworkers are looking for.
Professional immigration advisers do.
If you need help with your application, get proper advice. Don’t risk refusal by relying on AI.
