When we started PropertyZen, we knew the kind of business we wanted to build. And just as importantly, the kind of people we wanted to build it with.

People we know, trust and respect. People who bring their own experience, strengths and personalities to the table, but share the same values when it comes to looking after our clients.

We've deliberately chosen to keep our team small, our approach personal and our way of working flexible. Because we believe people do their best work when they're trusted, supported and given the freedom to have a life outside of work too.

We're not interested in being the biggest agency. We want to build something we're all proud to be part of.

And we're very fortunate to have these people alongside us as we do just that.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲.

We don't share every completion, but this one deserves a mention.

After months of hard work, plenty of conversations, a few unexpected hurdles and more than a little persistence, we finally got to hand over the keys to the new owners of this lovely home.

It wasn't always a straightforward journey. There were moments when things looked uncertain, and getting everyone across the finish line required a great deal of communication, patience and hands-on involvement from our team.

But that's something we feel strongly about at PropertyZen. Our job doesn't end when an offer is accepted. In many ways, that's when some of the most important work begins.
Keeping things moving, staying close to everyone involved and doing whatever we reasonably can to make sure a sale reaches completion.

So yes, we're particularly proud of this one...

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆...𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?🏡

If you’re buying a home with an extension, ask two separate questions: did it need planning permission, and did it need building regulations approval?

Some extensions fall under permitted development and don’t need a planning application. Building regulations are a separate matter, and most extensions need approval under those rules.

Ask the seller for the relevant paperwork, including a building control completion certificate where one was issued. Your solicitor can then check what should have been in place before you commit to the purchase.

It’s a small question to ask at a viewing, and a useful one to have answered early. 💚

When we started PropertyZen just over a year ago, the goal was never to become the biggest agency. We wanted to build the kind of estate agency we believed people actually wanted to deal with, personal, approachable, proactive and genuinely invested in the people and properties we look after.

There has been a lot of learning, a lot of long days, plenty of figuring things out as we go, and a growing team of people who have really bought into what we’re trying to create.

So to already be recognised alongside other agencies from across the UK feels pretty special.

We know we’re still at the beginning. There is so much more we want to build and improve, and plenty we’re still learning. But every now and then it’s important to stop and recognise how far you’ve come.

A huge thank you to our little PropertyZen team, our clients, landlords, sellers, buyers, tenants, partners and everyone who has trusted us or recommended us since we started.

Whatever happens on awards night, being shortlisted for **Best New Agency** is something we’re genuinely very proud of.

If you caught our post this morning, you’ll already have had a little introduction to Olivia… but now we’re making it official. 💚

We’re very happy to welcome Olivia to PropertyZen as our Senior Consultant & New Business Development Manager.

Olivia isn’t entirely new to us. She and Marco worked together many years ago, so there’s already a lot of history, trust and shared experience there — which has made her joining PropertyZen feel incredibly natural.

And she has certainly hit the ground running.

In a very short space of time, Olivia has already become a hugely valuable part of the business, bringing years of property experience, brilliant energy and exactly the kind of determination you want on your side when there’s a deal to be done.

As PropertyZen grows, we’re being really careful about the people we bring into the team. Experience matters, of course, but so does personality, integrity and genuinely caring about the people you’re working with.

Olivia ticks all of those boxes.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼.

Marco and Olivia first worked together many years ago at Brinkleys, and what a team they were!! So when the opportunity came up for them to work together again at PropertyZen, there wasn't exactly much of an introduction needed.

Olivia has joined us as our Senior Consultant, & New Business Development Manager, helping us reconnect with longstanding relationships, create new ones and, increasingly, getting stuck into the day-to-day world of sales and lettings too.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆.
