Schengen/Europe Visa Checklist (Essential)
Romania and Bulgaria are new in Shengen list.
1. Required Documents:
International Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months.
Passport Photos: Must meet Schengen format standards.
Travel Itinerary/Plan: Proof of flight bookings and accommodation.
Travel History: Copies of previous visas or entry stamps, if available.
Travel Insurance: Must cover the entire duration of your stay in the Schengen area.
Motivation Letter: Clearly outline the purpose of your trip.
Proof of Finances: Recent bank statements or a sponsorship letter (if using another person’s account).
Home Country Ties: Documents such as an employment letter, payslips, property/business ownership, tax records, or family ties.
2. Steps to Apply for a Visa:
Fill Out the Visa Application Form:
Submit to the embassy/consulate of the country where you’ll spend the most time or first enter.
Download the form from their official website.
Gather Your Documents:
Ensure all documents are complete and accurate before applying.
Schedule an Appointment:
Book with the embassy, consulate, or visa application center.
Attend the Visa Interview:
Bring your documents and provide biometric data (fingerprints and photo), if required.
Pay the Application Fee:
Fees vary depending on the visa type and destination country.
Wait for Processing:
Submit your application at least one month before your travel date (no earlier than six months ahead).
Collect Your Visa:
Retrieve your passport with the visa once approved.
