🎉 Congratulations to Jenny Newton on 15 years at TV Edwards! 🎉

Today we celebrate Jenny’s impressive 15-year milestone at TV Edwards Solicitors. Jenny is a valued member of our Family team, representing children, parents, and extended family members in cases where the Local Authority has concerns about child protection.

Her expertise spans pre-proceedings, Care Proceedings, Deprivation of Liberty, Adoption, and Special Guardianship, making her a trusted advocate in some of the most sensitive cases.

Jenny’s dedication has not gone unnoticed – she was the proud winner of the Family Legal Aid & Children’s Rights category at the 2024 Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards. Through her work, she has positively impacted countless children’s lives, always striving for the best possible outcomes.

Known for her wisdom, generosity, and collaborative spirit, Jenny is a mentor to colleagues and a joy to work alongside.

We’re raising a toast (or two!) to say goodbye to two absolute legends at TV Edwards who retired this week – Bernadette Sheridan and Christine Woolfenden! 🎉

Bernie joined us at the tender age of 16 back in 1977, when Anthony Edwards was still a trainee solicitor! Over the years, she’s done just about every job imaginable – HR Manager, billing whiz, archive guru…

Chris, recruited by none other than Bernie herself, kept us all in check as HR Manager for years before taking on the role of credit controller (and, yes, other things along the way!).

Both of them have been incredible colleagues, friends, and all-round legends. We can’t thank them enough for their loyalty, hard work and all the laughs along the way.

Here’s to a retirement full of fun, relaxation, and happy times on the golf course 🥂

We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah Inchley as Head of our Family Law team, effective 1 April 2026.

Sarah succeeds Paul Read, who has made the decision to retire from legal practice. We thank Paul for his dedication and contribution during his time with the firm and wish him every success in the future.

Sarah, a Partner since 2024 and Member Partner of the LLP since 2025, brings 17 years of specialist experience in children law, spanning public, private, and international cases. She’s also a founding member of the Child Abduction Lawyers’ Association and continues to support pro bono work, reflecting our commitment to justice for all.

Under Sarah’s leadership, our Family Law team, one of the largest in the UK, will keep delivering exceptional client service across family law matters from public and private children law, divorce and child abduction.

Maya joined us five years ago as a Paralegal and qualified as a solicitor in 2022,
