With 50% of the SFI26 Window 1 budget already allocated, farmers considering an application may wish to act sooner rather than later.

Window 1 is currently open to those farming 50 hectares or less, or those without an existing Environmental Land Management (ELM) scheme agreement. Meanwhile, Window 2 is expected to open in September, widening eligibility to all qualifying applicants, including those with existing agreements.

Alongside this, Capital Grants are expected to reopen in July, making now a good time to begin preparing plans, supporting information and application details ahead of the submission window opening.
