LAPG is a membership organisation supporting and representing legal aid practitioners across England and Wales. Our members are solicitors, barristers, cost lawyers, policy and campaigning orgnisations and a range of others with an interest in legal aid and access to justice. We are a statutory consultation body with the Ministry of Justice on all legal aid operational and policy issues and, along

LAPG insists on the United Kingdom providing a Legal Aid system that protects all the vulnerable in society. We will positively fight any unjust Government decisions or policies wherever that protection is threatened. We believe that any deviation of that protection undermines and manipulates the essence of a truly caring and safe democracy and demand a jurisdiction where access to justice is available to all without threat, discrimination or prejudice of any kind. Through ongoing training, practical support and up-to-the-minute information, we support the delivery of high quality legal services by legal aid lawyers, whose hard work, skill and dedication are completely under valued.
