What happens when a woman chooses to be seen?

Meet the cast of We Don’t Say Her Name — my new bilingual stage play exploring women’s voices, family, identity, inherited silence and the things we carry across generations.

At the heart of the story is a name a family has learned not to say… and a young woman who starts asking why.

I’m so excited to bring this story to the stage as part of A Season of Bangla Drama 2026.

🎭 We Don’t Say Her Name
📅 7 November 2026
📍 Brady Arts Centre, London E1

Come and discover the woman behind the silence.

“Shhh… we don’t say her name.”

✨ Something new is coming to London...

For years I've watched people leave Indian classical concerts saying,

"It was beautiful..."
..but not always knowing why.

The Joy of Raaga was created to change that.

This isn't just a concert.

It's a welcoming space where we explore one raaga through conversation, live demonstration and performance. A place where curiosity is celebrated, questions are encouraged, and everyone, whether you're completely new to Indian classical music or a lifelong listener, can discover the joy of listening.

I'm honoured that one of Britain's leading Hindustani classical vocalists, Pandit Chiranjib Chakraborty, is joining me as our Founding Artistic Mentor & Guest Artist for this pilot launch.

— Coming soon — my first EP ❤️

With thanks to poet Hamid Mohammed for the very kind gesture at the end of my songs.

I can't keep this anymore... ✨

December Release 🌙✨
My heart has always lived in Bengali music — its depth, its poetry, its soul.

This December, I am releasing two Bengali classics:
Tomar Khola Hawaa (Tagore)
Bosiya Bijone (Nazrul)

Recorded on the cliffs of Santorini and produced in collaboration with a Bengali music producer, these songs are my offering of voice, emotion and place — East meeting West.

More details soon. ❤️

I have been blown away !!!! Love my birthdays 🎈

HAMLET was magical. I don't have a lot of words. But I can say those boring English classes at school didn't do Hamlet justice.

Hamlet collapses time, pulls characters out of their dusty “classic” boxes, and shows you the raw humanity underneath. Mixed eras were a superb way of showing the timeless play. A play that is always happening in every generation, in every context

Multi-layered storytelling, character depth, mixed traditions, and emotional resonance. This kind of production is exactly aligned with my artistic DNA.

❤️ Not reciting Shakespeare, but resurrecting him.

In one breath: Elizabethan ruffs, WWII soldiers, a man with a laptop, and a heroine whose life was so vivid that her death felt like a personal loss.

Great theatre doesn’t preserve time. It breaks it - to reveal truth.

As I think of my beautiful birthday weekend lined up with my loved ones, here is a birthday reminder to myself:
Growth is quiet, dignity is strength, and alignment is freedom. 🌸
জন্মদিন মানে নিজের ভেতরে আরেকবার ফিরে যাওয়া।
আরো সত্য, আরো স্পষ্ট, আরো শান্ত। 🌿✨
