There are moments in running a firm that genuinely make you smile, and this is one of them 😊

We're delighted to announce that Sonia Rola has rejoined us at southgate solicitors. For those who knew Sonia during her first chapter with us, you'll understand exactly why we're celebrating. For those who didn't, you're about to find out 🙌🏻

Sonia initially joined us during the firm’s infancy and was on our journey for almost five years. She left us over three years ago, and in the time since she's gained experience and built a breadth of exposure that sharpens any solicitor – different ways of working, different cultures, different approaches to the practice of family law 🎉

She returns not just as a familiar face, but as someone who has grown considerably as a practitioner – expanding her practice into hybrid mediation, child-inclusive mediation and surrogacy law 🔥

What we find most meaningful, though, is why she's come back. It wasn't just about the next opportunity. Sonia has spoken about the culture here at southgate solicitors - the way we treat people, the values we try to live by, the kind of firm we're genuinely trying to build - as something she hadn't quite found replicated elsewhere. That means a great deal to the whole team 💙

Eight years! In a firm that started with big ambitions and not much else, Rajan was one of the first solicitor to bet on us - and quietly and consistently, he's helped us become what we are today 🎉

He joined us in 2018 as a fairly newly qualified solicitor. Now, with over ten years of qualification under his belt, he's one of our most respected solicitors and frankly, a cornerstone of this firm 💯

Rajan describes his time here with characteristic understatement: "...watching this firm grow while growing alongside it has been the highlight of my career". Our founder Hasan would say the same thing about him 😊

From Hasan , and all of us at southgate solicitors thank you for eight years of dedication, your sharp legal mind, and just enough humour to make the tough days bearable. We're proud of everything you've done, and helped build here, and we're lucky to have you. Here's to the next eight🥂

Eight years ago, I joined southgate solicitors in its infancy. I’m officially at the "bronze" anniversary mark. While I haven't received a statue yet, I have accumulated a decade's worth of legal grey hairs and an expert-level knowledge of the best local lunch spots.

In all seriousness, watching this firm grow while growing alongside it has been the highlight of my career. A huge thank you to Hasan and the team for the support and the opportunities.

Here’s to many more! (And if anyone is asking, bronze is great, but I’ve heard 8 years is also the ‘fancy chocolate’ anniversary. Hint, hint.) 💙
