In January 2024, we attended a mediation with UCL. A mediation is a meeting designed to encourage the two sides to reach agreement on settlement, which is overseen by a neutral mediator whose role it is to facilitate that agreement. Regrettably, that mediation ended without an agreement being reached. Accordingly, the UCL claim will continue to trial, unless a settlement can be reached with UCL at a later stage.

The next step is for the court to hold a case management hearing at which a judge will lay down a timetable towards trial and fix a trial date. That hearing has now been listed for 18 and 19 June 2024.
