Le Cure 2026 - epic, brutal and beautiful in equal measure.

đź—»Favourite climb:
Col de L’Iseran. It is a brutal, but truly beautiful mountain, the 7.30 start to get ahead of the speedier cyclists was pretty brutal, the morning list rising from the mountains as we made our way the 20km to the base of the climb didn’t disappoint.

⛰️ Toughest climb:
Col de la Bonette. Really really long and steep!

🧠The power of the mind is a truly wonderful thing and I found time last week to reflect and take stock whilst plugging away, one KM at a time.

đź’Ş When you are half way up these mountains, it makes you realise that you are stronger than you think and whatever life throws at you can be surmounted.

🧒 To inspire our sons is what we are here for. To help them to grow up in a world where cancer is tackled with tailored treatment plans, better pathways, improved outcomes and ultimately to be cancer free - is what motivates many of us.

I’ve talked about my personal connection to Le Cure, but every single Curista has a story, a moviation, a reason for being there. There were many on this ride who have been on their own journeys through cancer, have supported loved ones or are directly involved in the research.

This year has been the year which has raised the most money so far-over ÂŁ500k!! We heard directly from the Profs heading the research what the vital funds are going to. The work truely is life changing and is positively impacting women across society, globally.

There is still time to support - link still in bio.

It’s been a privilege to support Le Cure and take part again this year. There was oodles of kindness - the support, spirit and humour transcended down the mountains long after the speedier curistas in the group had completed each stage.

WHAT’s NEXT?!

The journey continues.

It is my MISSION to bring more WOMEN to Le Cure. It is the challenge of a lifetime and one of the best experiences you will ever have.

Fancy doing it next year? The route is planned, the registration is open. Get in touch.

Le Cure - cycling to help cure cancer. Come and help us.

01/08/2026

In less than 4 weeks I’m taking part in a cycling event called Le Cure.

Le cure was established in 2014 to raise money for cancer research taking on some of the Tour de France’s toughest climbs in the French Alps over four days.

So far over £3.3 million has been raisedfor the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and six Le Cure research fellowships have been created it’s doing groundbreaking and phenomenal work.

For those who don’t know me well, I’m not a regular cyclist, let alone an alpine one. I’ve done le cure before but have barely ridden my bide since last year. Nonetheless here I am and I will be climbing more vertical metres than Mount Everest, and spending probably around 8 hours a day on a bike.

Please help me get up those mountains!

Struggling in silence isn’t strength. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is let someone in. 💙

During Mental Health Awareness Week, counsellor and psychotherapist Emma Pateman-Jones reminds us that action doesn’t have to look dramatic. It can be as quiet as admitting something feels hard. As simple as starting a conversation. As small as asking for help before things reach breaking point.

If you’re navigating a relationship breakdown or a major life change, it’s easy to try to hold everything together on your own — but carrying it all alone can narrow your thinking at the very moment you need clarity most.

Action this week might just mean deciding you don’t have to do this alone.

Pets bring joy, comfort and companionship — they’re woven into the emotional fabric of our families. Yet under current English law, pets are still treated as chattels in divorce, alongside items like furniture or cars.

That means there’s no automatic concept of “pet custody”, no welfare checklist, and no legal recognition of the deep bonds people share with their animals. Decisions often come down to ownership, purchase, and practical arrangements, not the emotional realities families live with.

At NE Family Law, we see every day how important pets are to our clients. That’s why we encourage collaborative, child‑ and pet‑sensitive solutions that focus on stability, routines, and what works best for everyone involved.

Is your pet akin to your car, favourite armchair, your kettle?

Client feedback🌟

We represented our client through high conflict children proceedings involving a fact finding hearing and serious allegations. These cases are fraught with emotion, the children and their welfare should remain front and centre, and such cases require extremely delicate handling and the right team.

If you find yourself dealing with a high conflict situation, or are concerned about your children’s welfare or are on the receiving end of allegations we can help.
