Marjon Law was formed by Marc Jones in 2021. Marc is a commercially minded and results-driven lawyer. He is ranked and recommended in legal publications as a leading employment lawyer. He is a practising solicitor. He qualified as a barrister before transferring to become a solicitor. He was previously a partner in four firms of solicitors and head of employment in three of them. He is a qualified

workplace mediator. He has specialised in all areas of employment law for over 20 years, with extensive experience in dealing with settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, negotiating severance packages and employment tribunal claims. He acts for:

- individuals (directors, employees, workers, partners and independent contractors) and
- businesses (multinational companies, public limited companies, small to medium-sized enterprises, public sector bodies and charities)

including both employment and commercial-related disputes in employment tribunals, county courts and the High Court, which has ranged from, amongst other things, TUPE and boardroom disputes to whistleblowing and discrimination. He also provides advice on employment data protection issues and IR35. He has acted as a solicitor/advocate in employment tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. Some of these cases have been reported in the media: see Cases. He is sought out by individuals and businesses for his experience and is a trusted adviser to them. His clients praise him for his prompt and commercial approach in dealing with their issues. He provides in-person and video training. He is an Employment Law Appeal Advice Scheme (ELAAS) representative. He sits on the management committee of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA). He is the Editor of ELA Briefing. He was the President of the Maidenhead and District Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Marc is a keen hockey player (legs and lungs permitting). Quote from Chambers and Partners (2021):

'Marc’s strengths are his broad knowledge, practical experience and thoroughn ess. He is also very robust, grasps the problem quickly, identifies the key issues that need resolving and then explains what is required in simple terms for the client. Marc is incredibly knowledgeable on the subject of employment law. He is practical and pragmatic, has great focus and clarity, quickly identifies the issues and provides clear, honest and balanced advice.'
