We often speak to people who have questions about Lasting Powers of Attorney, including what they are and when they should think about putting one in place.

What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?
An LPA is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone you trust to make certain decisions on your behalf.

What are the two types?
There is a Property and Financial Affairs LPA and a Health and Welfare LPA.

Do I need to wait until I’m older to make one?
No. An LPA can be useful at any stage of adult life and must be put in place while you have the mental capacity to make one.

A well-deserved shoutout for our friends at the Littlehampton RNLI today as the station is set to feature on BBC2’s Saving Lives at Sea, shining a light on the skill, teamwork and commitment of its volunteer crew.

The episode features a Mayday call from a dive boat south of Middleton-on-Sea, with Littlehampton and Selsey RNLI crews responding after four divers were in the water.

It is a powerful reminder of the vital role RNLI volunteers play in our coastal community, often responding at short notice when lives are at risk.

Saving Lives at Sea airs on BBC2 Tonight (Tuesday 15 September) at 8pm and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
