There aren’t many independent businesses that can say they’ve been part of the city for nearly a CENTURY, and in just two years’ time Daymans will hit the incredible 100-year milestone.

What I love about the place is that it still feels like a proper old-school local shop. You walk in, tell them what you’re trying to do, and somebody actually knows what you need. 😂

Huge congratulations to Steve, Adam and the whole Daymans team. Absolutely brilliant achievement. 🧡

I’ve somehow been allowed to do a shift at Daymans DIY on King Richards Road…

Which is fairly brave considering I know absolutely nothing about DIY. 😂

Thankfully, Steve has been there for 44 years and appears to know where absolutely everything in the shop is.

Me? I spent most of the day shouting “STEVE!” from different aisles. 🤣

Daymans have been serving Leicester since 1928 and if you’ve never been in, it genuinely is an Aladdin’s cave of tools, DIY, decorating, household bits and just about everything else.
