Earlier this year, it was alleged that Kilo had bitten someone. When the police attended the scene, they concluded that the injury was not consistent with a dog bite, and that the allegation appeared to be malicious.
Despite this, Kilo was seized as a suspected Pit Bull type dog, much to the surprise of his owner.
The police submitted a civil application to court under section 4B of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
With the help of Dr. Helen Howell Dog Behaviour Expert, who assessed Kilo and his owner, it was concluded that Kilo was of a lovely, gentle nature, and that his owner was a responsible person.
We are delighted to report that Kilo has now been returned home as an exempt dog.

This is Biggie.

Biggie was seized in January 2025 following an anonymous report to the police of an XL Bully at his owner’s property.
Biggie was calm and well-tempered with the police, even taking one of his teddies into the police van with him!
The police brought a civil application against Biggie’s owner claiming that she was unfit to own Biggie.
After just one court hearing, we were able to prove that Biggie’s owner was fit and proper, and that Biggie was not a danger to the public.

Biggie is now on the Index of Exempted Dogs and is back home with his owner and sister Athena.
