It's been a fantastic day for our wonderful Director, Sarah Buxton, catching up with clients, practice owners and colleagues from across the dental profession.

One of the things Sarah enjoys most about supporting dental practices is the relationships built along the way. Events like this provide a valuable opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, share experiences and have the conversations that often don't happen in the practice.

It's been great to see so many familiar faces, meet some new ones and have conversations about the opportunities and challenges practice owners are navigating. Being able to offer support, share insights and answer questions is one of the reasons Sarah enjoys attending events like these.

A huge thank you to the Practice Plan team for bringing everyone together and creating another fantastic event. We're looking forward to seeing what the rest of the weekend has in store.

Our very own Sarah Buxton is very lucky to be attending the Practice Plan Club Weekend this weekend, and we're not jealous at all...

It's a fantastic event and a great opportunity to catch up with clients, colleagues and friends from across the dental profession in a more relaxed setting.

We often say that good advice starts with understanding the challenges our clients face. That's one reason we enjoy being part of events like this. Beyond the celebrations and socialising, they provide a valuable opportunity to listen, learn and better understand what's happening across the dental sector.

We love working alongside the team at Practice Plan and know the weekend will be a memorable one. They have a real talent for creating events that bring people together, strengthen relationships and leave attendees with some fantastic memories.

If you're attending, do say hello to Sarah. We know many of our clients will be there and we hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

What does an electric Renault 5 have to do with employment law?

More than you might think.

In her latest blog, Sarah Buxton reflects on how change can feel disruptive, uncertain and sometimes uncomfortable - whether it's a new car, new technology or major employment law reforms.

With the Employment Rights Act 2025 now being phased in, employers are facing significant changes around family leave, statutory sick pay, redundancy protections and workplace harassment.

The challenge is not simply understanding the law. It is adapting confidently, keeping what works, updating what doesn't and ensuring your organisation is prepared for what comes next.

Sometimes progress is about embracing change rather than resisting it.

What is the real cost of a business dispute?

For dental practice owners, conversations around shareholders, partnerships, and exits can feel deeply personal as well as commercial. When relationships break down, disagreements over valuation and process can quickly become stressful, expensive, and distracting for everyone involved.

In this blog, Thomas Coates, Managing Director and Corporate Solicitor here at Buxton Coates, shares his thoughts on why clear legal agreements matter, but also why sensible communication and commercial compromise are often the key to protecting both the business and the people within it.

An insightful piece for practice owners thinking about the long term stability and future of their business.

Managing people in a dental practice is rarely straightforward. From sickness absence and performance concerns to contracts and difficult conversations, HR issues often overlap with legal risk more than many practice owners realise.

That is why legally informed HR advice can make such a difference. It is not just about solving the immediate issue. It is about protecting your practice, your team, and your peace of mind along the way.

In this latest blog, Sarah Buxton shares why legally backed HR support can help dental practices feel more confident when managing team matters sensitively and fairly.
