Horizon Scandal update: Capture Redress Scheme to come into force this autumn.

The Scheme will be open to postmasters who were postmasters between 1992-2000 and applications will be accepted from relatives of deceased postmasters.

🚨Horizon IT Inquiry: 19 Urgent Recommendations

Yesterday marked a pivotal moment as the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry published its report (vol. 1), which focussed on the human impact of the scandal.

Among some shocking statistics, Sir Wyn Williams, Chair of the Inquiry, set out 19 Urgent Recommendations.

These recommendations (summarised below) focus on improving compensation schemes, supporting victims and their families, ensuring legal fairness, and establishing mechanisms to prevent future injustices.

Volume 2 of the Inquiry’s final report is expected in Autumn 2025. It will delve deeper into systemic failures, including the role of senior leadership, the legal profession, and the culture that allowed this injustice to persist for so long.

Look what’s arrived 👀

We were already looking forward to our next ladies event, but now we’ve got Bailoran branded water bottles for attendees, we’re really excited! 🏓

The NET:WORK events start with a coached ‘Intro to Padel’ session, followed by coffees in the clubhouse ☕️

But we don’t leave it there - a few weeks later we get everyone back together for a ‘Catch up on Court’. 🎾

Not only does this allow attendees to put what they’ve learned into practice and play a few points, it also provides another opportunity for relaxed networking with other women in business. 🔗
