Introducing your 20/21 President:

“I am delighted to be the President of WBB Leeds for the academic year 20-21. I’ve had the pleasure of being part of WBB since I started at University; as an undergraduate representative in the first year, to events co-ordinator in the second year and now having the honour of being President.

I’m proud to be part of WBB and passionate about using our platform to continue to inspire our female undergraduates to reach their full potential.

Through our events, we are able to celebrate role models both within and external to the legal profession, which has proved instrumental in uplifting the next generation of powerful women.

Despite the legal profession making efforts to diversify, we still have a long way to go and it is essential that in this modern era we all strive and advocate for a more diverse and inclusive legal sphere. Connecting role models with our students during our events has proved essential in this, as they are able to shed light on the barriers that exist and empower women on how they can navigate these.

Whilst these are very difficult and taxing times for all, I am committed with my wonderful team to ensuring that WBB has a successful year." - Imogen Haywood.
