Parnalls Solicitors Katherine Flashman Kitson was at Canary Wharf.

Katherine said “The West India Docks opened in 1802 on the Isle of Dogs specialising on imports like sugar, rum and spices. It is fascinating to see this area transformed from one of the world’s busiest 19th century shipping ports into the modern global financial centre it is today. Seen here is the whale on the wharf, 150 tonnes of plastic from Hawaiian beaches to remind us of pollution in the oceans, and also a tree fern in the cross rail garden where the planting symbolises east meeting west as a tribute to the history of this amazing place”.

So great to have the Parnalls Interns with us last week from Plymouth University. A positive experience for all. Sabian (Wilson) called it "A brilliant work experience opportunity ... a great learning experience", Charlie (Milward) said "It has truly been such a privilege to spend a few days at the firm and being shown the ropes ... fantastic to learn ... and gain some amazing feedback".

Katherine Flashman KitsonThe Parnalls interns have been working with the Litiigation Department this week. Katherine says “ it’s so important to support training within the profession. Young lawyers coming through are the future of our profession. We have all benefited from teachers and mentors throughout our legal journey who have helped us become the practitioners we are today. Theoretical study only takes you so far. We all need to learn on the job as well. We really enjoyed lecturing at Plymouth University within their environment. Now it’s been fun to have Sam, Sabian and Charlie observe and work within our environment. We have all learned a lot!”

Parnalls Solicitors welcome three Interns this week, Charlie Milward, Samuel Martin and Sabian Wilson.

Katherine Flashman Kitson says "We are thrilled to have Charlie, Sam and Sabian this week to experience some professional life. They are studying Law at University of Plymouth School of Law and were students in the Dispute Resolution Module which Stephen Robillard and myself lectured in last Autumn. Charlie, Sam and Sabian excelled in the end of module Advocacy competition and we are very happy that they are now spending some time with us and seeing how we work. Lots of projects planned for them and I am sure we will all emerged having learnt a lot, me included! Good luck to them".
