BSG has possibly the longest record of continuous legal service in the Lancashire area. Dating from 1720 when John Parker established a legal practice around Preston (and Liverpool) the firm has continuously evolved to become the firm it is today with offices now covering North and Central Lancashire. The firm as currently constituted was formed from the merger of long established Solicitors’ firms Blackhurst Swainson and Oswald Goodier & Co in January 2005. Previously known separately as Blackhurst Parker & Yates in Preston and Swainson Son & Reynolds in Lancaster, Blackhurst Swainson had been established for over 290 years. Now based in Lancaster and Preston (with consulting facilities in Garstang) we have a range of experienced lawyers who are happy to meet with clients wherever they wish. The role is for 2 hours per week, usually split across Wednesday and Friday, with 1 hour each day.

Each hour can be worked at an agreed time between 9am and 12pm or 2pm and 5pm, offering some flexibility around other commitments.
