We’re delighted to mark an incredible milestone for our HR Manager, Emma, who is celebrating three decades with the firm.

Starting her journey as an office junior, Emma has built a truly inspiring career by embracing opportunities, exploring different departments, and developing a unique understanding of how our firm works. From supporting the litigation team as a legal secretary to growing into her role in HR, her story highlights the value of flexibility, curiosity, and discovering where your career can take you.

Huge congratulations to Charlotte Smith on qualifying as a Solicitor! 🎉

Charlotte’s qualification marks a fantastic achievement - not only for her personally, but also for the firm, as she becomes the first person in our history to qualify via the Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) route while working as a Paralegal.

Having joined our Commercial Property team in September 2022 she has continued to demonstrate incredible dedication, professionalism, and ambition throughout her journey. Alongside working full-time, Charlotte completed her SQE studies and Qualifying Work Experience, a huge accomplishment that reflects her commitment and determination.

Described as someone who “throws herself into anything that is given to her” and always does so with a smile, she has shown exactly what can be achieved through hard work and a first-class attitude.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Charlotte, and are delighted to see you continue your career with us as a Solicitor in our Commercial Property team. We can’t wait to see all that you achieve!

Meet the expert: Kate Knapton.

As Partner in our Employment team, Kate specialises in:

• Managing discipline and grievances in the workplace
• Employment Tribunal
• Discrimination and whistleblowing

She brings over 15 years’ experience advising and supporting clients across a wide range of workplace matters.

Originally qualifying as a HR Manager, Kate worked in both the public and private sectors before retraining as a solicitor following a keen interest in the law.

She uses her extensive knowledge of the working world to provide practical, commercially focused advice and support to her clients.
