Onagrup had a record year. €200 million in revenue. 10 new hotels. Expansion across some of Europe's most popular holiday destinations.

But for many of their timeshare owners, 2025 looked a lot less impressive.

Rising maintenance fees. Availability that doesn't match what was promised. A contract that feels impossible to exit.

If you're an Onagrup member and something doesn't feel right about your contract, find out where you stand.

Up to 140 camping and caravan parks are currently listed for sale across the UK.

For park home and lodge owners, a change of ownership can mean higher pitch fees, new rules around access and subletting, and an exit that becomes even more difficult than it already was.

In many cases, owners find out after the sale has already happened.

If your park has recently changed hands — or you feel your original ownership was never fully explained to you — it's worth knowing where you stand.

On 19th May 2026, BBC's Rip Off Britain aired a 20-minute investigation into Seasons Holidays timeshare company.

The episode centred on a Scottish couple who paid nearly £34,000 for a Seasons Keys membership after being told it was an investment they could sell at a profit. When the time came, they received £10,300 — a loss of £23,700.

Seasons' own marketing material, shown on screen by the BBC team, stated they owned a share of a property. Seasons later told Rip Off Britain the couple had no share in the property and no right to income from it.

European Consumer Claims CEO Greg Wilson commented: "There are laws that protect you, and professionals who specialise in getting your money back if you have been treated in a way that contravenes those laws."

European Consumer Claims is currently representing multiple current and former Seasons clients.

If you are a Seasons member and feel you were misled, we are here to provide you with professional, independent advice.

If any of these sound familiar, it's worth taking them seriously.

Many people who contact us don't initially realise they have a case. They assume what happened to them was normal, or that they simply made a bad decision. But when we look closer, there are often clear signs that something went wrong at the point of sale.

Not being told about key terms. Being pushed to sign before you were ready. Watching your costs climb in ways that were never explained upfront.

These aren't just frustrating experiences — they can be grounds for a claim.

If you recognise any of these, speak to us. The conversation is free.

European Consumer Claims CEO Greg Wilson was featured in the Daily Mail this week as part of an investigation into the retirement property sector — and what he said is something every owner should read.

The article reveals how Brits have lost millions of pounds trying to sell retirement properties, with values falling by as much as 95% in some cases. Service charges have soared by more than half in just seven years at some developments, leaving properties unsellable and families trapped paying ongoing fees on homes nobody wants to buy.

Greg Wilson told the Daily Mail that the concerns often begin at the point of sale — where buyers are led to believe the property is a strong appreciating asset and that resale would be straightforward. For many owners, the reality has been very different.

European Consumer Claims is now taking action against retirement community developers over what it describes as large scale mis-selling.

If you own a retirement property and something doesn't feel right, now is the time to find out where you stand.

Many people who were mis-sold a timeshare, holiday park home or managed retirement property spend years assuming there's nothing they can do about it.

They were told the value would hold. That the income would come. That exiting would be straightforward. None of it turned out to be true — and by the time they realised, they assumed the window to act had closed.

In many cases it hasn't.

If the promises made to you at the point of sale didn't match the reality you've experienced, it's worth finding out whether something can be done about it.

We've helped thousands of people who came to us not knowing whether they had a case.

People who were told there was nothing they could do. People who had been living with the problem for years, assuming it was just something they had to accept.

In many cases, there was more that could be done than they realised.

If you own a timeshare, holiday park home or managed retirement property and something doesn't feel right — speak to us before writing off your options.

Most people don't read the small print when they sign. They trust what they were told by the salesperson, and they assume that if they ever needed to leave, they could.

The small print often tells a very different story.

Exit clauses buried deep in contracts. Fees that weren't mentioned at the point of sale. Restrictions that make leaving financially unviable. Whether it's a timeshare, a holiday park home or a managed retirement property — the contracts are rarely written in your favour.

If you've tried to exit and hit a wall, or you're not sure what your contract actually says, get in touch. 📩
