This is equally important in all steps from initial demand procedure, and where necessary, to court action and enforcement. ‼️LEGAL JOB ALERT‼️

We are expanding at TCH Law

Various roles on offer from an Administrative/Paralegal position to Senior Solicitor (commercial litigation, with focus on debt recovery, insolvency and landlord/tenant disputes).

We are also considering a role for a Legal Intern, which would suit someone completing their undergraduate LLB course, and embarking on Diploma in the autumn. An opportunity for a 2026 Traineeship comes along with this role, for a candidate who proves their worth during the internship.

Furthermore, consideration is being given to expanding our offering to other practice fields (employment law being a particular focus, but others will be considered). This would suit a senior solicitor, who could bring a client following and a wish to develop their own practice area within a busy and well regarded small firm.

We offer a friendly collegiate workplace in our newly renovated offices in central Hamilton. With hybrid working on offer, and a focus on future growth, if you’re a driven professional this could be the place for you!

HIRING FOR A LEGAL EXECUTIVE

We are looking to recruit a suitable candidate at our busy, niche firm of solicitors specialising in debt recovery, commercial litigation, insolvency and dispute resolution. This covers a manner of different cases, from pursing B2B debts, pursuing consumers for debts owed, negotiating and litigating on commercial and other disputes, dealing with both personal and corporate insolvencies, as well as acting in landlord and tenant cases in the First Tier Tribunal, but also much more.

We are ideally looking to recruit someone currently in their final year of LLB or undertaking the Diploma in Legal Practice.

The role will initially consist mainly of administering Instalment Plans for debtor repayments, but a suitable candidate can expect the role to be varied to involve providing support to fee earners, conducting legal research and carrying out a wide range of administration duties as well as eventually having a case load which the Intern will be expected to manage on their own behalf.

A good working knowledge of IT systems is essential as is a commercial approach to work. Reliability is paramount, as is an ability to work under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Previous experience of working in a law firm is not essential, but is desirable.

The role will be part time (days and hours open to negotiation). It can be hybrid or remote, subject to completing training and by negotiation.

A candidate who has made their mark may be offered a traineeship to commence at completion of the Diploma Course in 2024.
