Few things in life are more frightening than the prospect of care proceedings involving your children, and few things demand better legal representation.

The Public Law Outline sets strict timescales for these cases, with most expected to conclude within 26 weeks. In that time expert evidence needs to be gathered, hearings attended and decisions made that carry enormous weight. Our team at BG Solicitors has the experience to guide you through every part of that process, keeping you informed and ready at each stage.

Contact us today. The sooner you have specialist support, the better.

🥾 26.2 miles walked and £3,143 raised for Macmillan

A few weeks ago, Leah and Miriam from BG Solicitors, along with teammates Kelly, Emily, Lucy and Erica, set themselves the challenge of completing the Macmillan Mighty Hike, walking a full marathon distance from Alnwick to Bamburgh Castle.

They did it, and thanks to the support they received along the way, Legs Miserables raised an incredible £3,143 for Macmillan Cancer Support

We’d like to say a genuine thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored the team, shared the fundraiser or simply wished them well. The support has been fantastic and every pound raised will help Macmillan be there for people living with cancer and their families.

And finally, a huge well done to Kelly, Leah, Miriam, Lucy, Erica and Emily. 26.2 miles is some achievement and £3,143 raised makes it even better 👏

🪟 “I was in dispute with a window installation company around defects on my install and their failure to adress them. They were employing intimidation tactics and stonewalling me since they had already been paid. I felt powerless and ripped off.

From the moment I engaged BG Solictors, Leah handled my case with expert knowledge and promptly cowed the company from harassing me. Her personable nature put my concerns at ease and she ardently pursued the window installer to abide by the law.

We were approaching litigation and the installer threw in the towel and offered a substantial settlement fee in order to avoid going to court.

I would recommend BG solicitors and in particular Leah to anyone facing similar circumstances.”

🔑 Your offer has been accepted. Now the work begins to get you from ‘sold’ to ‘completed’.

For buyers and sellers, this is often the point where the process becomes less familiar. Searches, enquiries, contracts, mortgage requirements and dates all need dealing with before the keys can finally change hands.

Having someone who explains what’s happening and deals with the legal work along the way makes that process much easier to navigate.

Greg Mason-Smith is part of the Residential Conveyancing team at BG Solicitors and is available to help with property purchases and sales.

Qualifying clients can receive 10% off Greg’s conveyancing fees by quoting GMS10 when contacting him directly.
