There’s no such thing as a “wrong path” 💜

With exam results week here, it can feel like everything depends on a few pieces of paper. But it doesn’t.

Not everyone in our team started with top grades, a clear plan, or a straight road into law — and that’s exactly the point.

One of our trainee solicitors left school at 16 with no qualifications other than a grade in drama (could come in useful for future court appearances!). Today, they’re building a legal career.

At Mathie Lennox & Co., we believe potential matters more than perfection. Determination, work ethic, and the right support can shape incredible careers — and we see that every day.

From admin roles to paralegals, from uncertainty to confidence — our team’s journeys prove that success doesn’t come from where you start, but how you grow.

And the truth is, many businesses think the same way we do.

If you’re willing to learn, there will always be someone willing to invest in you.

Our Private Client Team enjoyed a few hours out of the office today hosting a table at the Kilsyth Civic Week Tea Dance. Thank you to the committee for inviting us along again. Our newest Partner, Amrit, certainly enjoyed getting to know a lot of our regular clients and supporters - and even got dragged up for a wee dance!
A lovely way to spend a few hours out of our day.

KILSYTH CIVIC WEEK GALA DAY

Reminder that today is the day for Kilsyth Civic Week Gala Day. Get yourself down to the burngreen park this afternoon to see all the amazing stalls.

Ours is the bungee trampolines this year with our “special staff” members so come say hello or get a photo with Chase and Marshall.

A reminder that this is completely FREE, however we will have charity donation boxes and would be very grateful for any donations (cash only).

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 & 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡

💜 Celebrating some of our own this week.

𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐍 has been promoted to Senior Conveyancing Paralegal and has gained Law Society Accreditation status now. Lisa is a phenomenal asset to Mathie Lennox & Co and well deserving of this promotion. This promotion is a reflection of Lisa’s hard work and dedication to the firm and her commitment to delivering first class service to our clients.

In her new role, she takes on a supervisory position in helping lead the conveyancing team, providing guidance and support to those within and ensuring the smooth running of all transactions. Her work has not gone unnoticed and we know she will continue to thrive as she moves forward in her new role.

𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐍𝐍 now progresses to the role of Trainee Solicitor (Pre-PEAT), following her success in her apprenticeship and paralegal qualification. Olivia has learned so much in her 4 years working at the firm and has shown a real drive to further her career in law. She loves learning on the job and constantly asks questions to gain more in depth knowledge of the work she’s involved in.

This progression is a result of her exceptional work, thirst for knowledge and commitment to both learning and providing high-quality work to assist the services offered to clients. This next step is a natural progression on her career journey to becoming a fully qualified solicitor. In her new role, as Trainee solicitor (Pre-PEAT), she can begin to establish her own case load while continuing to assist on all other matters under the supervision of the Partners - all while studying and passing exams. Olivia is true proof that not all people thrive in academic educational settings but, through alternative routes and with the right people behind her believing in her potential, she can still enter an amazing profession.

💜 Best of all… it’s a Mother & Daughter pair we’re celebrating this week.

At Mathie Lennox & Co, we believe in bettering our staff and rewarding their hard work. A happy, dedicated and knowledgeable staff base is invaluable to the success of the firm and the services we can provide.

Well done the Quinns !
