For over 60 years, Beltrami & Co has been a leading name in criminal law. Today, we remain at the forefront of criminal defence in Scotland and have expanded into civil matters including family, employment, and contractual disputes.

We’re looking for 3–4 trainee solicitors who want real courtroom experience — working alongside some of Scotland’s most respected legal minds in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

At Beltrami & Co, trainees are encouraged to appear in court early in their training and gain genuine, on-your-feet advocacy experience. Our office is based in Glasgow city centre, with travel throughout Scotland expected (a driving licence and transport are preferred).

What we’re looking for:
🎓 LLB & Diploma in Legal Practice (including those completing in summer 2026)
⚖️ A strong interest in criminal court work
🔍 Excellent attention to detail, research ability, and drive

Your application should include your up to date CV containing details of your LLB classification, dissertation title, and chosen electives (LLB and Diploma), together with a summary of your legal and non-legal work experience, as well as any relevant extracurricular activities. Additionally, if possible, we would encourage you to submit a short video clip (no more than 2 minutes) explaining why you believe you would be a good addition to the firm.
