Just Employment Law specialise exclusively in the field of employment law providing bespoke employment law advice and assistance to clients throughout the UK. Business and Executive clients can elect to engage Just Employment Law on an annual, fixed fee retainer or alternatively on an ad hoc basis. We provide a bespoke service with unlimited access to our legal team, comprising fully qualified solicitors, 365 days a year for advice and assistance on all areas of employment law. Each retained client is allocated a dedicated solicitor, who will take the time to understand the client's business and their employment law requirements. Above all, we aim to ensure that clients receive tailored, pragmatic and comprehensive advice whenever it is needed. Our legal team has extensive experience of advising across a wide range of business sectors and we have a "can do" approach to employment law and client care. Coming April 2027: New Statutory Bereavement Leave Rights

The Government has confirmed details of the new statutory bereavement leave entitlement, expected to come into force in April 2027.

✅ Day one right for all employees
✅ Covers the death of a spouse, partner, parent, adult child or sibling, including step, half, adopted, foster and kinship relationships
✅ Includes pregnancy loss before 24 weeks, with protection extending to partners and intended parents in certain circumstances
✅ Up to two weeks’ unpaid leave, which can be taken in separate blocks of at least one day
✅ Leave can be taken within 56 weeks of the bereavement
✅ Flexible notice requirements, particularly during the first eight weeks following a loss
✅ Employers cannot require evidence of the bereavement
